Learner Response

LR (do this on a blog posting, with the feedback I've given you)...

·         Write a longer introduction, outlining some of the key points on both sides of the argument.

The development of new/digital media means the audiences is more powerful in terms of consumption and production. A Marxist would argue that new and digital media does not give audiences more power in any way, in fact it does the opposite. They believe that they are being dumbed down by new and digital media by the posts that they post up on the internet and also by what they get by other producers of media, for example tweeters. A pluralist would argue against this as they believe that people in their society are all autonomous and believe they have the freedom of speech. They believe that no one is controlled and everyone is able to do as they plead. Two different societies with two different views.
